While most people’s thoughts of weddings are generally waning going into October there are a few who’ll never stop: brides to be. Hunting for florists, tracking down vintage cars and tasting the very best wines (that last one sounds familiar) while leaves swirl in the air and an umbrella is never far away. So listen, to save your fourth experimental haircut from autumnal winds, we’ll do all the hard work for you and bring everyone together under one roof: the florists, the cake makers, the musicians, the inscribers and of course the wine merchants. And there’ll be a glass of fizz ready and waiting for you. We might even light a fire.
I warn you now: even if you’re not looking for a venue you’ll soon be dreaming of your wedding day winding up the lane toward Nanteos. You’re no longer in your Fiat Punto, wedding magazines strewn on the floor and sweets on seats; you’re in a horse-drawn carriage, glass of bubbly in hand riding past ancient majestic woodland and a sleepy lily-covered lake, the birds and the bees will be cheering you on!
Daydreaming or not there’s no denying the easy elegance and style of Nanteos, its Georgian architecture married with a modern and crisp interior. Having held on to many of its grander rooms since leaner times in the last few decades, the renovation work has brought out the best of its early interiors while adding layers of beautiful form and comfort.
What will help your vision for the great day of course will be our guests with a fashion show by Wedding Belles at Laura’s from Llanidloes. They will be exhibiting some of the very latest styles of bridal gowns and men’s suits along with other creative affiliates who will be showing their fabulous range of items to make your day just about perfect (and our an awful lot of fun).
So mark it in your diary (do it now before you forget) and we’ll see you soon!
